'Gotta behave' Trump's message to North Korea despot Kim Jong-Un amid WW3 fears

The US president warned Pyongyang has “gotta behave” as government officials agreed to deploy a missile defence system in the region.

And asked about his next move following this weekend’s failed missile launch, Mr Trump said: “You’ll see.”

Tempers are running hot following the weekend, as North Korea celebrated the Day of the Sun – despite its missile attempt fizzling out.

And today senior officials warned the countries are on brink of war after Mr Trump described the state as a problem he vowed to “deal” with.

Expanding on Mr Trump’s remarks today, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the President would not be “drawing lines in the sand” over rising tensions in the Korean peninsula.

He said: “(Mr Trump) holds his cards close to the vest.

“I think you’re not going to see him telegraphing how he’s going to respond to any military or other situation going forward.”

Speaking today he also described the failed missile test as an “unsuccessful military attack” on the US.

He said: “Watching another unsuccessful military attack ensures that we continue to keep safe not just South Korea – other areas of the region safe – but it is good for the world.”

However he later claimed he misspoke after being pressed about the claim at the White House daily briefing.

He said ‘it was an unsuccessful launch,’ indicating twice that he has no special knowledge of a planned attack.
